my son wanted to try fishing and he loved this kit as it has so much stuff with it so we didn’t need much else to get started. unfortunately, the end loop on the rod was broken so i fixed it with a washer and the reel broke but that snapped back together ok. I think this is good for beginners or for travel as it Packs down to nothing.
