I’ve taken this hammock out to test it for the first time today and so these are my initial thoughts and experiences:-
1. The hammock, tree ‘Daisy-chain’, straps and the heavy duty carabiners together weigh a few grams under 600g.
2. Small packed size with the stuff sack easily able to accommodate all the equipment as at point 1 above. It’s about the size of a standard ‘packable Mac/rain shell jacket’, and hardly took up any pack space in my 20 litre day hike pack.
3. I’m not sure what the material the Hammock is, but it seems like some kind of Nylon blend. It’s of good quality and is strong. We had some wind today around 15 mph gusts and I felt a little bit of the cold through it (to be expected with any hammock) but it’s sides did a decent job of keeping the wind off the rest of my body. It was tested in air temperature of about 11-12 Celsius today in the shade of large, leafed trees.
4. Now this is probably the best bit, on my first time setting this up it took me less than 60 secs to put the straps up then play about with where I wanted to clip in on the daisy chain to get the right hammock height so I could use it both as a chair with my knees at 90° to the ground (both feet on the ground) and a recliner. Super easy and super quick to set up. I love this feature so much that I’m going to alter my Hennessy Hammock to work with a spare set of these daisy chain straps as it’s a total game changer for a speedy and secure set up.
I have two other hammocks and I’ve hammock camped for well over a decade now in some wild places. I would be confident to use this hammock with a tarp and under blanket in the wild and I plan to do just that in the coming weeks. So if I am able to I’ll update this review in a few weeks with photos of the full set up.
In short this is an awesome purchase for the very low sum of around £16. Absolute bargain.
Does it compare to a Hennessey hammock or DD Hammock? Well I own both types. The Hennessey costs best part of £300 so many times more. It uses climbing rope (which is mega strong) as part of the hanging system and has a built in tarp. So obviously the Hennessey isn’t a fair comparison. Yet if you asked me to give a percentage rating against the Hennessey just for the hammock section (without the tarp) I’d give it around 65-70% quality of the Hennessey. This is excellent considering the price.
Against the DD Camping Hammock (more of a fairer comparison) which is about £40, I’d give this hammock about a 85-90% score. Excellent product for the money. I’d love to see a version with a ridge line and detachable and adjustable tarp in the package for an all in one hammock solution.

Highly Recommend.Despite any negative comments i had heard about this company i took a chance. I ordered 8 items, they arrived when they said they would, properly packaged and all in good condition.
